Technical Help
Over 20,000 courses were successfully completed on systems powered by Online Travel Training (including TTG Knowledge & Advantage Training Academy) in 2010. However on rare occassions members have reported techinical problems in using the system.
The two most frequent issues are:
1. The training course loops back on itself
Very occassionaly you may find that a training course 'loops back' to the beginning of a module when you press 'Next'.
This often corrects itself the next time you try it, however sometimes it
can
mean that it's not actually possible to reach the end of the a training module.
This tends to only effect
Internet Explorer
users. We are not aware of any issue when using
Google Chrome
or
Mozilla Firefox
browsers. We are aware of this problem and will be preventing this from occuring with a future release of the software.
How do I fix it?
To solve this we recommend the following:
a) Ensure you have an up-to-date version of
Internet Explorer
(at least IE7 or above)
b) Clear you cache/temporary internet files

to learn how to do this
c) Reboot your PC and try again
If this does not solve the issue then we recommend you access the training via a different browser such as
Google Chrome
or
Mozilla Firefox
. You may need to seek permission from your IT dept to do this.
If you still have trouble please contact us on info@onlinetraveltraining.co.uk
2. Videos do not play
Many courses now include video content making the training a much richer experience.
Some members find that they cannot play videos. The most common reasons for this are:
a) Slow internet connection
Sometimes there isnt anything acually 'wrong' with your computer. It can simply be a case of your connection (or ours, or YouTube's!) being slow. It can sometimes take a minute for the video start to play, so please be patient.
If it remains slow to load then it might be an idea to
clear your cache
and reboot your PC or try another time.
b) Your employer has prevented you from accessing YouTube
Many of our videos are hosted on YouTube so you will need to be able to access that particular website to see our embedded video content.
How do I fix it?
Check with your IT Dept regarding access or maybe access the course from your home PC.
(dont worry though, none of our quizzes actually refer to video content)
c) Adobe Flash is not installed
You need to have Flash installed on your PC in order to view some video.
