There are four main Computer Reservation Systems (CRS) used globally within the travel industry to book a range of travel products such as flights, hotels, car hire etc.. Click here to view our Galileo Courses Galileo is a computer reservations system owned by Travelport.  It was developed in 1971 by United Airlines.  Galileo enjoys around 25% of the global market and it very strong in Europe. Today, it is the leader in terms of number of bookings worldwide with around 35% of the global market.  Very strong in Europe & Asia, weak in the Americas. It was bought by Travelport in 2007. Travelport who also own Galileo.  Worldspans market share is around 10%.  Companies using Worldspan include:   Airlines Delta NorthWest       Other Companies Orbitz Expotel
